Book Blogger Hop (5) and Follow Friday (2)

It's that time again! It's my fifth week of BBH and I'm loving all the new bloggers I've met. I am also participating in FF again this week. I had to skip out on that last week because I had company, so I was pressed for time and had to make the BBH post as brief as possible.

Anywho, Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy For Books. It gives bloggers the opportunity to hop from blog-to-blog to follow as many awesome blogs as you can, and perhaps gain a few followers in the meantime. If you want to participate, hop on over to Jennifer's blog and sign the Mr. Linky!

This week's question: When you read a book that you just can't get into, do you stick it out and keep reading or move to your next title?
I try, try, try to see the good in everything. There are not many books that I don't finish. I think only 3 this year that I couldn't stick it out through the entire book. It's got to be really bad though. Even if a book is bad, I'll still read it but ONLY if it's hilariously bad. If the book provides some LOLs or some *facepalms* then YES, I'll stick it out til the end and potentially even pick up the next in the series. I try to remain optimistic that the book/series can redeem itself. Ever heard of the "Awesomely Bad" series on VH1? Books can be that, too. But if the book is bad and boring, then no, I'll not finish it.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View.

Question: What is your reading recommendation this week?

Oh, how difficult of an inquiry this is. I'd have to recommend two books.

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh, because VARENNETHERS. Not only Varen, of course, but he ranks pretty high on my list of reasons to read Nevermore. Seriously though, this book is fab. Creagh doesn't skimp on the description or the sexual tension, two things that I love pretty frickin' hard.

The DUFF by Kody Keplinger, because it's edgy, raw, and Bianca is awesomely flawed.

Check out both books, if you enjoy reading and awesomeness.

Happy Friday, all! It's the freakin' weekend!

  7. LOL, I like that you keep reading it if it's *hilariously* bad! I must say I usually give up if the book's not holding my attention or I can't get into it, especially if I've tried a couple times. I often end up getting distracted by books that do grab me!

  11. Happy Follow Friday!!! Hope you will stop by my blog too! My publisher and I are looking for a group of bloggers for a huge blog tour next year before the release of book two in my 'A Sense of Truth' series! We will be giving out a few more copies of The Thirteenth Chime (we can only give out so many, being open to e-books gives an upper hand) and are still open to all interviews and guest posts. We want to fill up the Amazon page with reviews and try to reach as many people as we can!!! Hope you might consider being a part of the team! Thank you either way!

    Sincerely,

  12. The question is, which three did you not finish? XD

You know, something else I'll sometimes do if I'm really not loving a book is look up others reviews on it, if they say it picked up at the end or something along those lines, I'll keep reading!

Stop by and check out my Blog Hop and Follow Friday HERE!
