Me + Wine + Tryptophan = Best Friends Fo' Life

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy For Books . Head over to her site and start a-hoppin'!

This Week's Question: "Since Thanksgiving is coming up next week, let's use this week's Hop to share what we are most thankful for and what our holiday traditions are!"

My Answer: There are so many things I'm thankful for. I'll just go ahead and rattle them out without much emphasis. My wonderful husband. My amazing family on both sides. My cats. My job (even though I hate it.) The opportunity to go to school (even though I hate it.) The fact that I live healthily and comfortably and free. As for bloggish things, I'm thankful for the amazing friends I've made while blogging, especially the very first 5 or 6, with whom I still talk to every single day. I am not mentioning names, because I don't want to forget anyone (I'm ever so forgetful, you guys) but you know who you are <3 I'm also incredibly thankful for all the authors that I've had the privilege of talking to. It's truly a surreal experience to be able to chat aimlessly with those who are brilliant enough to create entire worlds through words.

As far as holiday traditions, the Thanksgiving plans have been different every single year for the past five years. But this year is the first time I'm spending it with my family since I moved. I'm so excited, because it's also the first time I'm getting a four day weekend for five years! WOOHOO!! The plan is, visit family, have a great time, fall into a tryptophan coma, drink some wine (which won't help with the coma), and just be happy. That's the best thing about family. No matter where we are, if they're there, I'm happy.

You have a lot of wonderful things to be appreciative of! I'm thankful for "meeting" you & a few other book bloggers who I've grown close to. We're a special kind, huh? ;-)
