Waiting on Wednesday (6)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine.

My name is Meghan Chase.

I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stay by my side. Drag me into the core of a conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.

This time, there will be no turning back.

Well, this is just going to take way too long. I mean, it's not even December yet and The Iron Queen ARCs have already begun to show up on various IMMs. Which means that my eyes will flicker green flames everytime I watch an IMM or see the photo pop up on my Google Reader. And the long awaited conclusion (or so I thought...have you met The Iron Knight yet? Also known as...Ash's Story?) to the Iron Fey series doesn't come out until February 1, 2011. DUDE. Meghan is such a badass. The awesome thing is, she wasn't a 100% badass in the beginning of the series, but has progressively enhanced her badassness. I can only hope that TIQ brings an even MORE badassinest Meghan. I have high hopes for this, because I've read a few teasers found prancing around the interwebs and Meghan appears to be sword fighting in one of them. SWORD FIGHTING, you guys. You know how musicians get 10 automatic swoon points? Sword-wielding sorta-fey girls get 154 automatic badass points.

One more time: badass. (I promise I'm done.)

Not to mention this cover is awesome. Fuschia is such an underrated color. More books should be fuschia. And I'm a sucker for a blonde heroine, being blonde myself. I cannot wait for more of this crazy fantasy/Wonderland/industrial horror carnival. And Julie, I hope to see the packrats again :)

  1. I too am getting jealous at those lucky bloggers getting ARC already! Good pick Jen :)

  2. I just got this on NetGalley! YESSSSS! Your WoW just got me all sorts of pumped. But I have to cram and read the others first...they've been on my to-read list 4-eva.

  3. If you have an eReader Net Galley has the arc and it's a fantastic read!
