Hello, all! So I'm a little late again. After all, yesterday was Sunday and my husband decided to monopolize the laptop on account of Fantasy Football. Additionally, I was studying for the majority of the day (when I wasn't tweeting, of course.) Yes, you're right. I DO need to brush up on my study habits.
And did I mention it snowed a good 4" on Friday night? BECAUSE IT DID!
Anywho, it was a pretty slow book week for me as far as purchases go. I'm not really sure why, other than I was too lazy to go anywhere. Plus, bookstores during the holidays are treacherous. Usually I go to Borders before work at 2:30pm and I'll have the YA section all to myself for browsing. THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE. And while I'm happy that others are partaking in the joys of YA, I miss the days when I didn't have to wait for someone to get the heck out of my way so I could flip through a book or two.
But I did happen to win a GoodReads contest that made my heart sing!
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (SD:AJR!!OA*R*#!~!)
The Forbidden Game by LJ Smith (For some reason, I remember reading that this trilogy was amazing. I hope I agree! I liked the first couple Vampire Diaries books and the first Nightworld bind up.)
Falling Under by Gwen Hayes (Debut Author Challenge book YES YES YES! This cover is so stinking pretty, I can't wait to see the finished version!)
This week was made especially amazing by the fact that I get to opportunity to go see my favorite band, My Chemical Romance, next year. In concert. You guys, I don't think you understand how much I want to jump out of my skin due to this fact. If I could have anyone sing the soundtrack to my life, it'd be Gerard Way (though I might have to up the angst a little. My life isn't very angsty.) I seriously danced around my house all day yesterday. My husband probably thought I was high, but whatever. I AM GOING TO SEE MCR!!!1!
Have a great week, you guys!
PS. I'm thinking of potentially doing an IMM vlog in the near future. Everyone else has and I am a sucka for bookish peer pressure. Stay tuned!
