Today, readers, today I bring you cuteness.
Whenever I sit at my computer, my cats immediately demand my attention. It's odd, because they really don't want attention at any other time, other than when I'm not paying attention. (Have you seen the Cat vs. Internet comic over at The Oatmeal? Yeah, it's kind of like that.) Anyway, I woke up early this morning because I have this sick new iMac that I wanted to start putting to good use, commenting and such. And my little marshmallow, Bo, decides he'd like to have a conversation.
A little background on Bo: we adopted him in February of 2010 along with Bella, my other cat who I've featured on here before. Bo was found practically unconscious under a bush, lying in the snow. He was taken to an animal clinic where the office manager unofficially adopted him and made him her project, so to speak, and to ensure that he healed. He was only 0.8 lbs at 3 months old and his body temperature was 94 F degrees. (The norm for a cat is 100 - 103 F.) He had to have the majority of his fur shaved, because it was full of dirt and mats. The prognosis was not good, given that he had respiratory problems as well as such a terribly low body weight and temperature. Thankfully, my little man was a fighter and made a full recovery. He has a bit of a vocalization problem, probably due to the respiratory and vocal cord problems he had as a kitten. His meow was completely absent for the first few months that we had him.
When I set out on my adoption conquest, I seriously obsessed over those pet finder sites. When I came across his photo, I fell in COMPLETE and utter love. His long, cream colored fur and bright blue eyes won me over. I went to visit him and my decision was made. We took him home the next week. He was very, very timid at first and scared of everything. He still hates loud noises and loves to hide under the bed from practically everything. But I tell you, he is the most loving cat in the entire world.
At any rate... he has some things he'd like to share with you.
