Your Makeshift Bookmarks (5)

Your Makeshift Bookmarks is derived from two things: a) my obvious blog name and tendency to use inane objects to mark my pages. And b) Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner's inspiration (and suggestion!) to start a blog feature where you all can show off the awesome, random crap you use for bookmarks.

Today I welcome the wonderful, the amazing Ginger from GReads! You may know her from Tune-In Tuesday, where she regales us with massive amounts of awesome music. The girl has good taste in music, guys. Or maybe you know her from TGIF where she gets our brains working with one of the tons of questions she's got. Either way, I love this girl. She introduced me to one of the most heart-exploding series, The Summer Trilogy by Jenny Han, and she continues to bring the kick ass book recs. I'm so happy she decided to take part in my silly little feature <3

Um, there's definitely nothing wrong with using ACTUAL bookmarks! I have a bunch of them, but honestly... they're never around when I need them. Luckily, I usually have a vast collection of straw wrappers or some crap like that floating around in my bag. Thanks for stopping by, Ginger. If you guys don't know her yet, you need to. Her blog is one of my favorite and she is ALWAYS posting quality reviews, memes, MUSIC... you name it. Love this girl to death. Go to GReads! now.

  5. I use many real bookmarks myself! I usually put the signed ones inside the boo(if I own it) and just keep it, lol.

And Jen, I'm going to record a video for you this week and get it to you!

I have that book from the bookmark you have no clue what the book is about! I bought it on vacation!

  6. Over the past couple months I have gotten a pretty huge collection of bookmarks too! If there is a book that I feel I cannot finish at the moment (it's said but it sometimes happens) I use my less pretty bookmarks to hold the place until I can get back to it. Cute feature!

  7. I have a ton of bookmarks like that too from events that are signed etc, but they are neatly tucked away into my swag box and I never use them. LOL It's like they need to stay in pristine shape (especially the signed ones).

  9. I have a ton of bookmarks, too, though I tend to use only a couple of them. Mine aren't signed, so they aren't really interesting. I love bookmarks though!!! They're so pretty! And they remind you of lovely books!

Great feature Jen! I love seeing other peoples bookmarks (makeshift or not) every week! :)

  10. Hooray for Ginger! I only have a few bookmarks myself but I tend to use the non-bookmarks to mark my reading spots. =) And that kissy-face bookmark?!? HAH.

  13. Ha! I'm pretty much just like Ginger...I have a never ending stack of bookmarks and it just keeps growing. With tons of books I have never heard of either.
Glad to know I'm not the only one :)
