Okay, so today's topic is discussing the 10 books that are atop our TBR lists for Fall 2011. I have awesome blogger friends, so I've already read some of the ones I'd normally be looking forward to. But YOU should be looking forward to them, so I'm gonna tell you about them.
HOLY F*(&. Even if you don't like YA paranormal books. Even if you don't like YA. Even if you don't like BOOKS... READ THIS. By far one of my favorites of 2011 and it's not even over yet. It's steamy. It gave me stomach butterflies. It blew my freaking mind.
You must be an alien if you haven't heard of this one. It's a good read, folks. Believe the hype.
This one sounds straight up creepy, you guys. It has things that I love, but am deathly afraid of: UNEXPLAINED OCCURRENCES OF THE DEMONLY AND/OR PSYCHOLOGICAL VARIETY. And boarding schools. I may not be able to sleep after this one.

4. Last Breath by Rachel Caine (11/1)
If Rachel Caine wrote 40 more books in this series, I would not complain at all. In fact, I'd throw a party. MYRNIN. Also, I am totally digging the UK cover. Is that Monica Morrell on there?!
If you have read Bright Young Things, then you know exactly why I'm so excited for book two.
Ahem. Hot boys. Kissing. Music. VIOLIN. And I always love reading books about the "wrong" boy who happens to turn out to be the "right" boy.
Does anyone else start singing "I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier" whenever you read the title? Me too. Also, coffee and chocolate being illegal? That's enough to make me cut someone.
This sounds like a fantastic book, if not heartcrushingly emotional. Sometimes we all need a good cry, yes?
JACK THE RIPPER, AHHHHH.
Ghosts and exorcism. Freaking A hell scary.

I'm reading Shatter Me, right now, and definitely recommend it. Mara is next! Awesome list! These all look like must-reads this Fall :)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for all of those - I really liked After Obsession, I didn't think it was quite as good as Carrie Jones's other series, the Need series but it was still quite fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThe Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and Shatter Me are the top two books I want to get my hands on for fall. Both of those books sound absolutely amazing and I've only seen great reviews for them.
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for The Name Of The Star too! YAY for JACK THE EFFIN RIPPER!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I totally need to read Shatter Me.
MYRNIN! He's by far my fave.
ReplyDeleteFrost scares me...I don't think I want to read it. But of course I agree with you on everyone needing to read Mara and Shatter Me :) I'm looking forward to Beautiful Days as well. The Beginning of After I didn't like AT. ALL. But hopefully you like it.
ReplyDeleteSoooo many good books coming out this fall. I'm like you & I've read a few of these already. Mara Dyer & Shatter Me are going to be HUGE!! I can't wait til their pub days & every one gets a chance to read them. Virtuosity is awesome - really enjoyed that book.
