Harry Potter: A Sepia-Toned Photographic Reaction Post

And hey, it's spoiler-free!

I think I'm the last person on the planet to read the Harry Potter series. After tireless efforts from my friends, both in person and online, I finally gave in once I was presented with the opportunity to listen to the audiobooks. I was all over that shizz. ALL OVER IT.

I can't sufficiently put my feelings for this absolutely life-changing series into words. There were so many emotions. So many different facial expressions that I made. I'd rather show you than tell you. (And I invited my good friend Sepia to the party, because she makes the ugly cry just slightly less ugly.)

None of the books, however, ripped me apart the way that Deathly Hallows did, as you'll see below.

OH HECK NO.

GTFO.

UGLY CRY.

UGLIER CRY.

ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?

MARRY ME FOREVER, BOOK!

  12. I agree, it was a draining experience... best read in private, and with tissues.
Here's what I want to know, though. What is the deal with that awesome stack of hardbacks in the background? (Best seen in GTFO.) Is that self-supporting? Or like a giant CD tower? I'd love to do that. It could make my TBR pile look as intimidating as if feels.

PS. What nail polish are you wearing? I like the effect the sepia tone has on it!

  17. LOL! This pretty much describes my EXACT reaction when I finally read them two years ago (and then when I re-read them a year ago). Except my face was a lot more blotchy and hideously unattractive due to my heaving sobfest. I actually worried my roommate, who is used to me reacting to books in all sorts of different emotions Totally worth it!

  18. XDDDDDDDDDD I don't know how you managed to pose so well, but THIS POST. I love this post. I want to marry this post. I want to MARRY YOU. Do you think Mr. Jen would mind?

AND I feel small. I *mumbles* haven't finished the Harry potter series. I'm only on... *gulps* book two. YEEESH. I have to finish it soon. I heard ALL ABOUT Harry Potter #7 and I like to cry so I think it's prudent for me to continue very soon.

Rowling makes you feel, whether you want to or not! So glad you've finally read the series - it really is life-changing, isn't it? And if no one has told you yet, welcome to the Harry Potter Nerd Club. It's a very cool place to belong. ;)

  26. HAHAHA oh Jen, this is why I love your blog so much! I cannot stop laughing! If it makes you feel better, I just read the Harry Potter books at the end of last year/beginning of this year... so I'm right there with you on the "last person on the planet to read Harry Potter" list. This perfectly captured my reaction to the last book!
