You, You, You Autumn Know: A List of Reasons Why I Need Fall NOW

DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID? Alanis Morrissette, anyone? No?

Anyway, this fall promises to be absolutely amazing in bookish ways and otherwise. And I am feeling LISTY today.
_______________

August 13: Mumford & Sons Tour
Yes, I am seeing them live. No, I may not make it out alive.

August 28: Enshadowed is Released
I've been waiting since, I don't know, BIRTH for this sequel, or so it seems. When I read Kelly Creagh's Nevermore back in 2010, my world changed. It made me want to sing the praises of this AND EVERY book to the wide world of the Interweb. And the release date was pushed back so many times that I thought I was going to lose my mind. Now April and I can rest at ease that this book is very much within sight. I think I'm going to request off for this day.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte Returns
Who ISN'T excited about this?

September 1: Michigan Football Opening Game
Granted I became a U of M fan via marriage, I'm still excited about this. If they win, my husband is happy. And that makes me happy. FINE, I like it a little bit.

Homemade Chili
OH MY GOD, FINALLY.

September 27: Matthew Mayfield Concert
So many concerts, so much music that will make me cry like a baby.

A Reprieve from the Heat
This has been the hottest summer ever. I can't wait for cooler temps, open windows, and brisk evenings.

note: this is not a season 4 promo, but are you gonna complain? really?
October 11: The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Begins
Does everyone remember that one memorable makeout session that is SURELY not to be the last between You Know Who and the other You Know Who? That chemistry was WAY too hot to waste. And what about that cliffhanger?! WHAT WILL HAPPEN? I know I have been waiting impatiently all summer to see Damon do the eye/smirk thing again. That's what the whole show is about.

October 23: The Evolution of Mara Dyer is Released
DUDE. I've had the incredible privilege of reading/reviewing this in advance and it was everything. Everything I've waited for and more. I can't wait to have a physical copy in my hand to have and hold and reread, because you KNOW Michelle Hodkin changes it up until the very last minute. It's like reading it for the first time, TWICE.

Hoodie Weather
My favorite time of the year. I've tried turning up my A/C and wearing a hoodie this summer, but it was too friggin' expensive and I ended up hot anyway.

November 6: Bitter Blood is Released
Damn those Morganville Vampires, I love them so much. And especially Myrnin. But we're kind of running out of books, here. This is book 13 of 15 and I am ridiculously sad.

Fuzzy Socks. FUZZY SOCKS.
I am preparing for an surplus of fuzzy sock-related injuries at the hospital due to the inevitable sliding across hardwood floors. And I'm okay with it.

They're one of my all-time favourite bands. And pumpkin lattes! And no heat! Yes and yes! I'm really looking forward to layers, sweaters, and boots. And snow! I love the snow ... and the crisp fall air ... and Halloween ... and Thanksgiving ... and Christmas ...

Oh wait, what? This is YOUR post? Right ... I'll stop my raving over the change of seasons. :)

  12. I totally sang your post title before I even got to the Alanis reference! Nicely done. I hate to say goodbye to summer, but I love fall too. Also, I saw Mumford & Sons in Seattle about two years ago and it was THE BEST CONCERT ever. I even cried during it, which has never happened before at a concert and the hubby and I go to A LOT of concerts. You better blog all about it! :)

  15. I FINALLY FINISHED SEASON ONE OF TVD. OMG I SEE A TONGUE! I DIE. I JUST PASSED OUT. I'M BLUSHING. (Greta just asked me "Mom are you okay?" - I'm not kidding.)

I want to start season two but I can't get over season one. I want to tell you why but this isn't even a TVD post! Why am I so long-winded? I have problems.

  16. HOW DID I NOT KNOW YOU WERE BACK ALREADY?! I EMBRACE YOU, FRIEND.

Now, then, onto other matters of great importance. Let's see here, we hug our computer because Jen's back. Check. Next, Nevermore! Bro, I had no idea it was so awesome! I almost read it last year... and just didn't. A truly sad story. Maybe you could edumacate me this October with your review of the sequel...? AND EFF YEAH, WE'RE BACK FOR TVD BISHES. I am so excited for this. Every pore in my body is spewing light and lust because it's coming back. I WANT MORE DAEMON AND ELENA GOODNESS DAMMIT. And yaaaaaay *slaps five* MORGANVILLE IN NOVEMBER. It is absolutely BOUND to be amazing, undoubtedly, exponentially. CAN'T FLIPPING WAIT. And I MISSED YOUR PRETTY FACE. DON'T LEAVE US AGAIN. <3

  17. Ahaha, love the reference! I used to be mildly obsessed with that song. It's a good one.

May I just say: YES YES YES. I am so beyond ready for autumn. We've had a merciful break in the heat here for the past few days, but all it has done is make me want fall all the more. I want pumpkins and cinnamon and hot chai tea lattes and sweaters and football and the crisp scent of fall in the air. And I want it now. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

OH, VAMPIRE DIARIES. You totally just made me miss that show so much. D:
