Top Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Getting for Christmas

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and born & raised by Jamie.
Listen, I could think of a billion books that I could ask Santa for. But then I remember he's Santa, not Jesus or or Dumbledore. He's just a chubby brother with magical, flying mammals. But you know what? SCREW IT. This is my Christmas list and, real or not, these are the books that I want. He fits his plus-size down chimneys, you guys. If he's any kind of Santa, he'll make it happen.

1. Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer
Listen. I'm back in Twihard mode. I saw Breaking Dawn Part 2. I just finished rereading Twilight and New Moon. My little heart is twitterpated, yet again. And I will not rest. I WILL NOT REST. And I will never be 100% satisfied until Meyer gives me what I want. I don't want stupid stories about Bree Tanner. I NEED EDWARD'S BRAIN THOUGHTS.

2. Blood Promise (Dimitri's POV) by Richelle Mead
Haven't you guys ever wondered what went through his head during this book? Because after thoroughly breaking my heart ten times over, I need some serious insight. (I won't get into it all, because that'll cause some spoilers.) Especially that bridge scene. THAT MOMENT. Sigh. I would love to know exactly what went through his mind when the realization sunk in.

3. 5 more Harry Potter books.
Hey, why not? You know we are all wanting more anyway.

4. Every YA romance audiobook EVER to be narrated by Ed Westwick.
I haven't even listened to that Mortal Instruments book yet. But you know what? I've recently discovered Gossip Girl, thanks to Netflix. And man, I would listen to that voice narrate my death sentence.

5. A Continuation of the Gemma Doyle Series.
YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE US WITH THE TREE, LIBBA.

And now for the actual existing books I want...

6. Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo
You guys have sold me on this. I need it in my life.

7. Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
Never read any Gina, but Alice is one of my favorites. I must read her interpretation. Aaaand also, who would ever complain about some zombies being thrown in? Not this chick.

8. Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
I gushed over Anna Dressed in Blood and I need to find out what happens next. Cas is THEE BOSS.

9. Timepiece by Myra McIntyre
I had this on NetGalley and never read it. Why? Because I have mental problems. Now I need to own it in all its glory and have and hold Kaleb for-eva.

10. Defiance by CJ Redwine
Another book that you guys have gone buck wild over. I need to see what all the fuss is about.

  2. Yes - Midnight Sun needs to happen, and soon! Alice in Zombieland is pretty awesome - not got much to do with the Lewis Carroll orignal at all though, it's more of a background theme. And Defiance - I really hope Santa brings you that one!

  6. Awesome list! Maybe now that all the books and movies are released, Stephenie Meyer will feel like adding a little extra goodness and finishing MIDNIGHT SUN. And Alice in Zombieland...just heard about this book today...I'm super intrigued.

  10. Great list. Just be warned - Alice is Zombieland is not a retelling of Alice. It's a fun YA Paranormal with steamy romance, zombie slaying action and bad boy hero. But does not have any relation to original Alice. Just wanted to warn you because no one told me and I was seriously surprised. :)
I hope Santa gets you something from your list.

  14. I'm kind of a Twilightish mood too.

I really liked Alice in Zombieland, but it isn't really a retelling of Alice in Wonderland. But totally awesome!

I got Timepiece from Netgalley too, and never read it. I just got the book from the library.

  15. Ha! The first part of your list is so funny! But seriously yes... I would like to hold Timepiece just so I can drool over Kaleb. Seriously, is there a hotter book character out there? You really should somehow get yourself a copy of Shadow and Bone... TOTALLY good! As is Defiance! Hopefully Santa will be good to you!

  18. I don't really listen to audiobooks, but I've gotta say, if Ed Westwick is narrating, I'd definitely be down for it.
    Oh, Chuck Bass <3
